Triton Hearing Local Hearos

Your successful Local Hearo will be the recipient of a pair of Phonak hearing aids.

Launched in August 2022, Triton Hearing Local Hearos is a community recognition program giving you a chance to recognise and give back to those special people in your area that go the extra mile to make a difference. Local Hearos are nominated for their work in areas such as: community support, health and wellbeing and inclusion.

How does Local Hearos work?

Nominate

You nominate your Triton Hearing Local Hearos by filling in the nomination form. In this form you will be asked a range of questions, including:

  • Your details.
  • Your nominees details.
  • Why you think this person is a Local Hearo.
  • How this person is involved in their community.
  • What difference a hearing device would make to their life.

Nominations are open until Friday the 23rd of September at 4pm.


Submit

Once you have nominated your Local Hearo, they will receive an email with their nomination form. They must complete this form and submit their details via email by Monday the 26th September to be eligible for the Triton Hearing Local Hearos program. The nominee will also provide a photo of themselves.

  

Award

Our successful Triton Hearing Local Hearo will be awarded a pair of Phonak hearing aids. They will be announced on Friday the 30th of September.

FAQs for nominators

How do I nominate? 

You can nominate your Local Hearos via our online nomination form. This form can be found above. Nominations open on Monday 22nd of August at 10:00am (NZST) and close on Friday 23rd of September at 4:00pm (NZST).

Can I nominate my Local Hearo more than ones?

As a nominator, you can nominator multiple people. However, having multiple nominations for one nominee does not impact our assessment process. Each nominee will only go into the draw once.

Can I nominate someone who is under 18 years old? 

No. All nominees must be over 18 years of age. Any nominees under 18 years of age will be automatically discarded.

Can I have an extension to submit my nomination?

Unfortunately, no. In fairness to all our nominees and to ensure we can keep on track with our selection process, we cannot offer extensions.

How will I know if my nominee won?

We will notify our successful Triton Hearing Local Hearo by email by Friday 30th of September. The successful Triton Hearing Local Hearo will be published on Facebook and announced on Friday 30th of September.

FAQs for nominees

I’ve been nominated – what now?

Congratulations on being nominated! You will receive an email with you nomination form. You must complete this form and submit your details via email by Monday 26th of September to be eligible for the Triton Hearing Local Hearos program. You must also provide a photo of yourself.

I’ve been nominated but I don’t have a hearing loss, can I give my prize to someone else?

No. Unfortunately if you do not have an aidable hearing loss you will not be eligible to win Triton Hearing Local Hearos. If, in the event you win and do not have an aidable loss, Triton Hearing reserves the right to redraw. This prize cannot be transferred to any other person.

Why do I have to provide a photo of myself?

Putting faces to names and recognising our Local Hearos is the core reason behind this community recognition program.

Can I have an extension to submit my nominee form?

Who are Local Hearos?

Triton Hearing Local Hearos is designed to give back to those that give so much to others. Your Local Hearos are role models who lead by example and make positive, impactful contributions to their communities.

To be eligible for Triton Hearing Local Hearos, your nominee must:

  • Be over the age of 18.
  • Be actively involved in their community.
  • Have an aidable hearing loss so they can be the recipient of a pair of Phonak hearing aids
